Dion Tan
Everyday identity of Kid Olympus.
D'Ombre
Everyday identity Damien Croix.
Student at Poseidon Prep, he is able to mentally traverse the digital data stream.
He is also a proficient swordsman, favoring dual-wielded katanas. For reasons that are
unknown at this time, he hates Screw, leader of the Hackers.
According to his creator, his full heroic name is Croix D'Ombre (The Shadow Cross),
but he prefers to go by D'Ombre. He appears with important information in PH 5.

Deadlift
Everyday identity Dedrick Reinhardt.
Student at Poseidon Prep and member of the Hackers. He is Screw's
best friend, and the only innately super-powered member of the Hackers. According to
his bio, he is the strongest student at Poseidon Prep. He has cameos in
PH 3 and 6, battles Pride High in PH 4, and appears in a one-page with the team
in PH 7. Despite the assurance of Kimmick that the Hackers are not homophobes,
Deadlift indicates otherwise in PH 6.
Dedrick Reinhardt
Everyday identity of Deadlift.
Deep Shock
Member of the Champions of Atlantis. Brother of Sea Star and the youngest
Champion of Atlantis. He possesses an immensely powerful bioelectric field which he
uses to stun his opponents, as well as augment his strength. He appears in PH 5
and in a one-page surprise at the end of PH 7.

Discotheque
Everyday identity Nisrin Ali.
Member of the Vixens, appeared with them in a one-page in PH 7.

Student at Poseidon Prep and member of the Five-Fold Path.
He has a romantic relationship with Lizard Lad. He appears in a very loud cameo
in PH 3, and is on the cover of PH 3. He appears with the Five-Fold Path in a one-page
in PH 7.

Villainous henchman of Nagadevi. His name in Spanish means 'the Sound'.
He is an expert marksman. He appears in PH 5.

Feng Po-po
Chinese goddess of wind, shown riding her pet tiger in a montage in KO 1. She is
the logo girl for KO 1.
Fenrir
Shape-changing member of Inter-squad Championship team Feral Force.
He appears with the team in a one-page shot in PH 7.

Upperclass Inter-squad Championship team made up of Chameleon, Fenrir,
Lizard Lad, Raptana and Stallion. Their theme is "The Might of the Wild."
They appear in a one-page shot in PH 7.
Five-Fold Path
Underclass Inter-squad Championship team made up of Capp, Dragon Star,
Qi, Red Shadow and Limbless. Their theme is "Poseidon High Martial Arts."
They appear in a one-page shot in PH 7.
Flaming Arrow
Everyday identity Wade Marshall.
Guest lecturer on fire safety at Poseidon Prep. He is a cross-over character
from his own comic, available at

. He makes cameo appearances in PH 1 and PH 4.

A literary device through which the reader is apprised or reminded of events that took
place prior to the moment of the flashback. Flashbacks can take place completely in
the mind (memory) of a character, be related by one character to others, or can be shown
through a recorded medium created previously.

Leetspeak spelling of the Hackers..
Hackers, The
Inter-squad Championship team made up of Kimmick, Deadlift, Bouncer, Screw
and Vaporware. Their theme is "Better living through gadgetry." Their battle-cry
is "PWNAGE" (leetspeak for "Ownage" or "Total Domination.") They battle Pride High
in PH 4 and Vixens in PH 7.
Hades
Greek god of the Underworld. He grants his favor to Kid Olympus without a test in
KO 1.
Haephestus
Greek god of fire and workmanship, forger of Zeus' thunderbolts. He does not appear
in Pride High or Kid Olympus, but Kid Olympus uses the
Bracer of Haephestus in PH 2.
Helen Keller
Extremely talented historical woman, blind and deaf from childhood, who learned to speak,
read and write. She is the author of several books, and was a well-known lecturer.
Despite her incredible accomplishments, her name is used derogatorily by members of
the Argonauts when referring to Suravi.
Hera
Greek goddess of motherhood and matrimony, wife of Zeus and Queen of the Gods. She
denies her favor to Kid Olympus in KO 1.
Hermes
Greek god of speed, thieves and trickery, the messenger of the Gods. He agrees to
test Kid Olympus in KO 1.
Heroes in the City
Computer game played by Kid Mischief in PH 2. It features Americana,
Glamour, Verdant, Lightspot and Mischief
Hollow
Everyday identity William Tan.
He is an energy absorber with the ability to drain the immediate vicinity of
light, heat, and sound. He is a cousin of Kid Olympus.
He is involved in a gay relationship with Rave. He appears in PH 4.

Howle (how-lee)
Civilian name Evan McPherson.
Member of Inter-squad Championship team Lili'uokalani, he has incredible sonic
powers. He makes cameo appearances in PH 3 and 6, and appears in a one-page with the
team in PH 7. Note: Howle is a homonym for the Hawaiian word 'haole', meaning outsider,
often used derogatorily.
Humuhumunuku'a'pua'a
Member of Inter-squad Championship team Lili'uokalani. He has a cameo
appearance in PH 6, and appears in a one-page with the team in PH 7.
His name refers to the state fish of Hawaii, the reef triggerfish or
Humuhumunukunukuapua'a .

Inter-Squad Championship
A contest (or the result of that contest) pitting five-member teams of Poseidon
Prep students against one another. The final scores of the I.S.C. will be
based on grades, community service, and the result of five-on-five combats in
the Battledome. The winners of the championship will receive summer internships
with the World Warriors.
Iron Crusader
Everyday identity Drake Moore.
Member of the Inter-squad Championship team the Masterminds, he
appears with the team in a one-page in PH 7.

Jack Pryde, Coach
Everyday identity Jackson Kidby.
Faculty member of Poseidon Prep, he is a lion-man. He appears in a cameo in
PH 1 and is referee in PH 4.
He was created by Theo Eldridge III and Vylet Noble ('theo').
Jade Emperor
King of the Chinese gods, he appears in a montage in KO 1.
Jaguar-kin
Savage humanoid jaguars generated by the Battledome as a training session for
Pride High. They are responsible for the death of Mindsweeper. It is
not currently known who created them. They appear in PH 1 and 2.
Jarod (Scales) Broderick
Everyday identity of Lizard Lad.
Jarot Claas
Everyday identity of Verdant.
Jeremy
A student at Poseidon Prep. Little is known about him except that he is an
excellent artist, likes to draw nude or scantily-clad men, and is 'homophobic' in
the sense that he is afraid of homosexuals, possibly because he is in denial about
his own condition. Pride High saves him from bullying by the Argonauts
in PH 1, and Kid Mischief tries unsuccessfully to recruit him for Pride High
in PH 3. He makes a cameo in PH 7. His powers, if any, are not known.
Jordan Akana
Everyday identity of Kahuna Lapa'au.
Jorge Ponce
Everyday identify of Kid Mischief .
Justice
A member of the Legends. For more information, see the entry for the Legends.
She appears in a cameo in PH 5.
Kahuna Lapa'au
Everyday identity Jordan Akana.
Hawaiian who can absorb energy and reflect it as healing power. He is member of
Inter-squad Championship team Lili'uokalani. He makes brief appearances
in PH 3 and 6, and appears in a one-page with the team in PH 7.
(Note: In Hawaiian, 'kahuna' means 'master' (or 'wizard', or a lot of other things),
and 'lapa'ua' means 'the practice of medicine.' Would you believe I have a
Hawaiian-English dictionary? S'truth!)

Kid Mischief
Everyday identity Jorge Ponce.
Member of Pride High, he has amazing mental powers, including telekinesis,
and is learning to use telepathy. He is the current leader of Pride High,
and provides mental guidance for blind Suravi. He gained
his powers from his mentor, Mischief, as the result of an event that has not been
explained. He is a native of Puerto Rico.
He and Mindsweeper were gay lovers before Mindsweeper's death. Resolving the
mystery surrounding that death is the main focus of Pride High so far.
He appears in all issues of Pride High, and is on the cover of PH 1, 2, 3 and 6
, and on the cover of PH 7 as Jorge.
He shares a kiss with Mindsweeper on the alternate cover of PH 2.
He is the logo boy for PH 4. He makes a
cameo appearance in a flashback as Jorge in KO 1, and is on the cover.
He appears in "Reality Check".
Kid Olympus
Everyday identity Dion Tan. Also known as KO.
Leader of the Argonauts. He has amazing strength, and also wears a bracer on
his right arm that has (some of) the powers of (some of) the Gods of Olympus.
All the powers of the bracer have not been explained, nor its origin. It may be
the bracer of Haephestus. His girlfriend is Pele.
He and Kid Mischief were once best friends, but KO is unable to handle Kid Mischief's
'coming out of the closet', revealing himself as a homosexual. This conflict is a major
theme in Pride High. KO still has feelings for Kid Mischief, and has rescued
Pride High on more than one occasion.
He appears in all issues of Pride High, and is on the covers of PH 1, 3
and 6, and on the alternate cover of PH 2. He is the logo boy for PH 1. He stars in
Kid Olympus # 1.
Kimmick
Everyday identity Kimberly Cho.
Leader of the Inter-squad Championship team Hackers. She is the gimmick
girl who specializes in micro-gadgets and concealed technology. She provided Kid
Mischief with important information
about Mindsweeper's mysterious activities before his death. At one time she
had a crush on Cascade, but that ended after she learned his sexual orientation
while spying on him electronically.
She appears with the team in PH 4, has a cameo
in PH 6, and appears in a one-page with the team in PH 7. She is on the cover of PH 4.
Kimberly Cho
Everyday identity of Kimmick.
KO
Nickname of Kid Olympus.
Kwan Yin
Chinese goddess of mercy, she appears in a montage in KO 1.
Kyle Lions
Everyday identity of Rave.
